Homesense and Ikea finds

I went to a different Ikea yesterday as I was desperately trying to track down the items I wasn't able to get on the trip on Monday. I have to say it was very productive as I managed to get the Arv dining set (yay!) as well as the 2 Bolster cushions I was after which I have temporarily put on the daybed in the loft room I will make some covers for them soon and when I do I will be sure to post the tutorial! I also got the Ursula throw which you can see draped over the bed it was only £15.99! Excuse the poor quality images!

I also got some cute little bits from Homesense yesterday, I got this glass cake dome for £3.99! I already had the cake stand from before and I also found this lovely silver heart trinket plate for £4.99. You can find some real gems in that store but if you see something you have to get it straight away as they only usually have a few of each thing in stock and they don't often get replenished (trust me I learnt the hard way!)

I also got one of these lovely cutlery boxes which I have seen in the past on notonthehighstreet.com for £24 I got mine for £6.99 so I was really pleased with myself!

I think I really need to stop buying as I already have quite a bit of stuff to pack when we move house, but I think the excitement of going somewhere new has taken over me and I am constantly looking for decor inspiration which is resulting in me going a bit weak every time I find something I like! I think I may have to stop looking for a while at least until we move!!! 

One website I found whilst inspiration hunting was http://www.maisonsdumonde.com/UK/en/ they have some gorgeous mirrors and furniture pieces at some quite reasonable prices, I particularly love the Dormer mirror I think it would look fabulous over a fireplace in a dining room (it's definitely on my wish list!)

Another trip to Ikea

Today my friend Tanya, Zayd and I went to Ikea, I specifically went to buy a few things such as more of the Pokal mugs this time I got some of the beige coloured ones (so now I have them in all the available colours!) They are so cute I plan on using them for hot drinks and sundaes.

Whilst in Ikea I wanted to get some bolster cushions for the daybed in my loft room but unfortunately they didn't have any left. I also really fancied buying the Arv Dinner Set that I saw the other day as I desperately need a new crockery set as all the other sets I have seem to have at least one plate missing, This set is so simple but has a french look about it. Unfortunately they didn't have any of these left either so it really wan't my day and it seems to me that I will have to make yet another trip to Ikea in the not too distant future.... thank goodness it's only a 10 minute trip away in the car!

I also went to Homebase and fit however manage to get some cute little bowls that go really well with the white coloured Pokal Mugs I got the other day from Ikea.

I plan on going to Homesense tomorrow to see what I can find no doubt there will be some little gems there, I will be back tomorrow and will let you know what I found.
